The Education Department of Glory to Glory Ministries is committed to the vision of the ministry, “. . . to equip (perfect) the saints for the work of ministry. . .” (Ephesians 4:11-16), by fulfilling the mission of the ministry, “go ye therefore and teach (train; make disciples) of all nations. . .” (Matthew 28:19-20). The purpose of the Education Department is to teach (educate), love, disciple, lead, and evangelize those whom God has entrusted us with.
Children’s Ministry – Teach the word of God, Evangelize the children, Love each one with the love of Jesus Christ, and Lead them so they can lead others. Our motto is “TELL somebody”.
EDGE – Educate the pre-teens and teens, Disciple them so they can Grow and Evangelize others.
Homework Helpers – Ensure that all students excel academically and make learning gains by providing positive reinforcement and recognition by assisting students of various grade levels and abilities with homework while providing positive reinforcement and recognition for students to excel academically.
It is expected that each member be accountable in attendance, giving, as well as fasting on the 1st Thursday of each month.
EDGE Teen Program
NOTE: EDGE (The Educate, Disciple, Grow, and Evangelize components are all Biblically-based and impart God’s truth within. The program will help to develop the teens intellectually, socially, and spiritually while teaching them to give back to others.)
- EDUCATE – Proverbs 22:6
- Who – Doctoral Students
- What – An educational program teaching teens life skills and academic excellence.
- When – Wednesdays during Bible study
- Where – Upstairs classroom
- Why – To develop teens intellectually so they can become leaders in their schools, jobs, and communities.
- DISCIPLE – Deuteronomy 6:7
- Who – Personal Mentors
- What – A mentoring program that emphasizes the spiritual mentoring of teens that has a positive impact on them socially.
- When – Meet at least once per month based on individual schedules
- Where – varies; however, group outings will occur
- Why – To develop teens spiritually and socially.
- GROW – Romans 10:13-15
- Who – Lead Youth Minister
- What – A service/program in which the teens receive sound teaching of the Word of God relative to their lives.
- When – Sundays during the 10am morning worship service
- Where – Back area of the church
- Why – To develop a Christian worldview in the teens.
- EVANGELIZE – Matthew 28:19-20, Matthew 20:26-27
- Who – Youth leader
- What – A missions/community service program that encourages teens to make a difference in their communities through evangelism and service.
- When – Monthly meetings
- Where – Tampa Bay community
- Why – To lead the teens through components of service learning projects that have a positive impact on the Tampa Bay community.
