Deacons

PURPOSE:              To serve those in need in the local church.  (Acts 6:1 – 8  &  I Timothy 3:8 – 13)

MISSION:               The Deacon Board will be servants to Jesus Christ, our pastor and members of  Glory to Glory Ministries.  Deacons will be serve the surrounding communities, showing and sharing the love of Jesus Christ.

EXPECTATIONS:    

1. Attendance to weekly services at Glory to Glory Ministries and to be on time. (Heb. 10:25)
   1. Exception to this rule would be vacation, illness, work or reasonable excused absence.   Report all absences as soon as possible by calling the ministry accountability line (813)425-5770, and leave a brief detailed message.
2. Deacons must be faithful and consistent “Givers” of tithes and offerings. (Mal. 3:8 – 12)
1.  Financially support Glory to Glory Ministries in accordance to scripture.
2.  Assist with the collecting and counting of all offerings.
3. Deacons will consecrate themselves with prayer, fasting, and the knowledge of God’s Word.

a.    Pray and fast for our pastor, Glory to Glory members, and the community.

b.   Study and be students of the Word of God. (II Timothy 2:15)

c.   Be led by and filled with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 6:3)

4.  Deacons will visit members and those in hospitals, bereaved, widowed. (Acts 6:1, James 1:27)

a.    Visit those that are sick, unable to attend service, incarcerated, and those in need.
